Miss you already! Actually I missed you the moment I woke up the next morning and realized you were on your way. It made me sad, though I hope you are happy! You have been in my prayers. :)
So far our plan is to just enjoy the climate. We've got three jobs between the two of us, so we'll keep the bills paid, but none of them is why we're here.
We found that where we went to college was too mild in the winter and not dark enough. We also wanted to be closer to the sea. So we decided to try southeast Alaska — but we felt like we should try a big city so it'd be easier to find work, so we went with the capital.
i don't buy into the reasoning of mild winters and too much light ... but i'm sure it is stunningly beautiful. will you be able to see northern lights when you get out of the city? i have always wanted to experience that beautiful spectacle of nature. any time limit for your stay? i hope you will post pictures soon!
