Mmmmmm . . . Oreos . . .

It's the 100th Anniversary of Oreos! W and I usually only buy the generic kind, it's a lot cheaper. Recently W and I had a yummy pizza dinner at Bullwinkle's and while there read through a little trivia games booklet. One of the questions was "How many flowers can be found on one side of an oreo cookie?" We both looked at each other and said "Flowers? There are flowers on those cookies?" This was amusing for us and we decided that we would have to fork out the dough for some real oreos to make sure. It also happens to be Oreos 100th Anniversary and since we really like to celebrate things it made buying some even more fun. Now, after eating many oreos and having many questions answered by the 'oreo oracle' I can expertly say that the trivia booklet at Bullwinkle's is correct - there are twelve flowers on one side of an oreo cookie. I should test trivia answers related to yummy food more often!

but the real question is - do you open them first and lick out the center, or do you eat them in one piece? do you dip them in milk or just eat them 'plain'?
