Ketchikan

The ferry stopped in Ketchikan for a couple of hours and W was able to leave the ferry and take a look around town. Here are pictures of our approach to Ketchikan and then a lot of pictures that W took while there. I was still sick, and our stuff was only in a tent, so I didn't join him. One thing I find so amusing about the first pictures are the cruise ships, cruise ships can be seen in a lot of ports in Alaska during the summer, especially Southeast Alaska. Enjoy!

How cool! I am loving all the pictures and laughing over the one picture that has some random people in it. I feel so sad that you weren't feeling well.

other that the ocean and shoreline pics, it reminds me very much of eastern europe ... very socialistic looking.

I'm glad I was able to capture that socialistic feel in the shots. I had been excited to see Ketchikan and when I got there, it felt like a Polish city to me, only without the older, more traditionally European architecture. The whole town felt eastern European to me.
